Fostering the next generation of ocean stewards is key to building a climate resilient future. Supported by the Government of PEI Ocean Wise is making this happen by connecting Island youth to their local marine environments and highlighting the lived experiences of Indigenous communities.
Through immersive discovery kits, virtual classes and a virtual summit that blend science, Indigenous knowledge, and local climate realities this project aims to turn eco-anxiety into real-world action.
This spring Ocean Wise will offer two Aquaclasses tailored to PEI's curriculum and regional context. Stay tuned for the launch of Adaptations Island: Quest for Change and A Day in a Life: Shores of Climate Resilience
In early 2027 Ocean Wise and the PEI Public Library will bring together ocean experts, Indigenous Elders and young learners from across the Island to apply their learned knowledge and discuss what is required for a resilient, ocean positive, future looks like
