Tickets on sale now for the Ocean Wise Seafood Program’s annual Chowder Chowdown Vancouver
Vancouver, B.C. — This winter, thirteen of British Columbia’s finest chefs will take over the Vancouver Aquarium for a guaranteed fiercely delicious duel at this year’s Chowder Chowdown, presented by Ocean Wise Conservation Association’s Seafood Program. Happening Thursday, February 20, attendees will have the chance to sample and vote on their favourite sustainable chowder recipes from B.C.’s most notable chefs, while enjoying craft beer, spirits and wine—making this is a competition where truly everyone in attendance is a winner.
This year, guests will be treated to an all-star lineup of chefs hoping to take home top prizes including ‘Chowder Champion’, ‘People’s Choice’ and ‘Best Beer Pairing’; competing for these titles will be:

The event is part of Ocean Wise Conservation Association’s coast-to-coast battle to claim the coveted Chowder Champion title, with a matching event happening February 26 in Toronto. Both are held annually to help promote awareness for sustainable seafood and raise critical funds to further the Ocean Wise Sustainable Seafood Program’s mission.
“It’s an incredible opportunity to gather foodies and friends, beat the cold February weather and support an incredible movement,” said Sophika Kostyniuk, manager of the Ocean Wise Seafood Program. “We’re thrilled to have such a passionate and talented group of chefs on this journey to healthier oceans with us.”
Ticket prices include the chance to taste all the chowders alongside beverages from local favorites like Lonetree, Whistler Brewing, Yellowdog and Phillips. All proceeds directly support the Ocean Wise Seafood Program, which helps to ensure healthy lakes rivers and oceans for generations to come.
