Based on the Ocean Bridge musical narrative of the same name (https://ocean.org/project/the-adventures-of-kelp-creature/), use this book to recount KC’s journey in your own voice or follow along in the book while listening to the musical narrative/audiobook! With beautiful new illustrations from artist Lis Xu (https://lisshu.com/), immerse yourself in the antics of the flora and fauna in West Coast waters!

While connecting with people about the release of this book, people who work in and around the Salish Sea talked about their experiences with the real-life KC & kelp forest ecosystems more broadly. They spoke warmly about personal connections and showed their care through ocean stewardship actions.
These experiences were an important reminder of how affecting a connection to the ocean can be. I hope that this book can play a small part in fostering that connection and the inspired actions that flow from it.
