Jamie's placement with Parks Canada - Gulf Islands National Park Reserve involved analysis of baited remote underwater video (BRUV).
This Parks Canada placement is with the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve – Southern Resident Killer Whale division. The placement involves analysis of baited remote underwater video (BRUV) footage and creating a species catalogue using that data, in the hope that a catalogue can be used to inform future marine spatial planning.
During Jamie’s placement, she was heavily involved in the BRUV footage analysis. She also spent time out on the water visiting field sites and assisting in gathering footage.
