The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is the country’s unifying force for nature, working to deliver large-scale, permanent land conservation.

Placement Details

Ambassadors work closely with NCC Coordinators of Conservation Biology to support conservation programs in their Natural Areas, contributing to overall watershed health. They also assist with on the ground conservation management for significant natural lands protected by NCC across the Eastern Ontario subregion by collaborating with NCC staff, partner organizations, local stewards, and other volunteers. Throughout their placement, Ambassadors have the opportunity to conduct a variety of field work tasks alongside stewardship staff, including: invasive species control, trail monitoring and development, restoration planting, completing property inventories, succession management, and wildlife monitoring.
