The main part of the project was an event that invited community members to learn how to repurpose plastic in a fun and creative way while contributing to plastic reduction by doing so. The goal of the project was to make sleeping mats for the unsheltered through "plarn" (plastic yarn), repurposed from unused plastics.

The main part of the project was an event that invited community members to learn how to repurpose plastic in a fun and creative way while contributing to plastic reduction by doing so. The goal of the project was to make sleeping mats for the unsheltered. We also visited a school to do a mini workshop.

What was your biggest challenge?

Finding a way to distribute the plastic to interested people.

What was your most valuable takeaway?

There are lots of people interested in finding creative solutions to reduce plastic.
