How can Ocean Wise help me with my fundraiser?
We can support you set up your online fundraising page. You can choose one of our themed fundraising pages from our Fundraising webpage and easily create your own page for your event.
We have provided branded digital materials to support your event and/or online fundraiser. These can be found on our Fundraising webpage, under ‘Resources’.
We will provide online charitable tax receipts for donation over $10 to your supporters or physical charitable tax receipts for donations over $20.
What Ocean Wise can’t provide/guarantee?
Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee staff or volunteers to support with organizing or attending your event. We are also unable to provide promotion of your event.
In accordance to our privacy policy, we are unable to provide information on those who have donated to your event.
Are there any materials Ocean Wise can give me to support my event?
In certain cases, we may be able to provide physical items such as branded banners, stickers, posters or kids activities like colouring sheets. Please contact [email protected] with requests or questions.
How can I best promote Ocean Wise at my event?
You can print and send out branded materials provided on the Fundraising webpage. Please note, if you are creating and using materials with our logo that we have not provided you will need to reach out to [email protected] for approvals.
How are tax receipts distributed?
When a one-time donation of $10 or more is made on your online fundraising page the donor will receive a thank you email with their tax receipt attached. Physical receipts are available on request for gifts of $20 or more. Monthly donors will be provided a receipt annually on the following February for the full amount of donations they made the previous year.
When someone donates to my fundraiser how is their information collected and used by Ocean Wise?
