Ocean Wise Staff Ocean Bridge Cohort

A bit about me:

I have a background in Ecology and Biochemistry. My first connection with the ocean goes back to summer of 2016 when I had the opportunity to dive in a marine protected area in Cambodia. I had the privilege to do lots of research around microplastics throughout my undergrad years, yet found myself feeling a bit lost in the academia world. After working a couple of contract jobs, I realized that my passion lies in outreach and education in the environmental conservation field, so I completed a Master’s of Science Communication. Now, I’m a program specialist with the Ocean Bridge National team, where I support the distance-learning component of this program!

What get’s me out of bed in morning?

A fresh cup of coffee/tea and a good workout!

Ocean Wise est basé sur le territoire traditionnel et non cédé des peuples Salish de la côte, y compris les territoires des nations xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) et Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh).
