No, volunteers do not require previous experience. Orientation and training will be provided to members based on events. Certain roles may require certain certifications.
Ocean Wise has both remote and in-person volunteer opportunities, depending on programming needs. These can vary in the field, at events, or laboratories including the Plastics Lab.
Most volunteers do not need specific qualifications. Orientation and training will be provided for members. Certain roles, however, such as Diver, require special certifications.
Volunteers can select how many events and opportunities they would like to participate in.
Yes! Our volunteers can range from age to age, including students. Volunteer certificates regarding their hours can be distributed when requested.
Volunteer opportunities that you have been approved for will be posted on your profile in Vome, providing date, location, and additional information.
