Camp Catalyst: 3-day action packed program with Jenna!

Project Description

Camp Catalyst hosted a three-day action packed program, introducing campers to the wonderful world of STEM, sustainability, and ocean conservation. Our camp engaged 30+ female participants aged 7-12, in STEM-based activities and challenged them through a hands-on approach to unleash their creative potential. These activities integrated hands-on science experiments, building and designing challenges, problem-solving exercises, and team-building games.

What was your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge was handling a whole classroom size of kids! There was a lot of preparation per every activity, but it was especially chaotic at times especially during the breaks. My team and I handled this by hosting mini games and having board games.

What was your most valuable takeaway?

My most valuable takeaway is the impact I have made in my community! I had the opportunity to take on a large leadership role and create an impact with the kids in the camp. I hope to have inspired them as much as they’ve inspired me and that small actions can make the largest impacts.
