Ocean Wise Ambassador – 2023 Ocean Bridge Cohort
Jasmine is an Ocean Bridge Ambassador with Ocean Wise, where she is able to share her passion for inspiring curiosity in all audiences and making climate issues more accessible. She is the developer of Kelp in Hand (@kelpinhand), the Seaforestation Card Game, to raise awareness for the severity of kelp forest loss and empower players to take action. Next, she hopes to learn more about the social role of kelp in Indigenous coastal communities, in order to integrate Truth and Reconciliation directly into seaforestation efforts moving forward.
Jasmine has recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from UBC, specializing in Sustainable Energy in Manufacturing. Since then, Jasmine has been working as a Decarbonization Analyst at EcoAct, where she implements her climate efforts in a different capacity.
