Canadian youth aged 15 to 30, we want to hear from you!

Canadian youth aged 15 to 30, we want to hear from you!

The purpose of these sessions is to gather authentic, diverse perspectives from youth across the country that will shape the content of the State of Youth Report. These sessions are designed to provide young people with a platform to share their thoughts, experiences, and concerns about key issues affecting their lives, such as education, employment, mental health, and social justice. By participating, youth will have the opportunity to directly influence government policies and programs.

The purpose of the State of Youth Report is to provide the Government of Canada with a comprehensive understanding of the priorities, needs, and concerns of youth aged 15-30. It serves as a tool for youth to voice whether national policies, programs, and initiatives are meeting their expectations and addressing the issues they face. The report helps inform decision-makers on key areas such as education, employment, mental health, climate change, and social equity, ensuring that youth perspectives are considered in shaping policies that impact their futures. It also tracks progress on the implementation of Canada’s Youth Policy and identifies areas where more work is needed to better support young people.

Canadian youth ages 15-30 are invited to attend a virtual session hosted by Ocean Wise and the Students Commission of Canada. Each session will be 1.5 – 2 hours long. Youth can choose between two sessions when they register.

  • Tuesday, January 28 at 4pm PST / 7pm EST / 8pm EST
  • Monday, February 3rd at 4pm PST / 7pm EST / 8pm EST
