A bit about me:

Hey! I’m Paola—a geoscientist-in-training who’s passionate about the environment, outdoor adventures, and helping people take action in their communities.

What gets me out of bed in morning?

I love knowing that even small actions can lead to big change. I get excited about learning new things, protecting nature, and creating tools that help others get involved too.

A fun fact about me:

I’ve been a swim instructor, worked in remote exploration camps logging rocks, and helped remove invasive plants—all in the same year. I like keeping life varied and hands-on.

About my project:

For my Ocean Action project with Ocean Wise, I’m creating a website with an interactive map that helps people find and share shoreline cleanup events. I’m using tools like Pam Pam maps to make it super easy and accessible—so if someone wants to join a cleanup or host their own, they can do it all in one place. The goal is to connect people, boost visibility, and inspire more action along our coastlines.
