Our Virtual Classes

Adaptations Island: Quest for change

A day in a life: Shores of Climate Resilience (Grades 6 - 12)

Adaptations Island: Quest for change (Grades K - 6)

Set sail on an unforgettable virtual adventure where young explorers become climate heroes! In this high-energy, story-driven experience, students journey across a magical island shaped by wind, waves, and change. Along the way, they’ll meet lively local animal characters who reveal their incredible survival superpowers, from clever camouflage to weather-ready skills. These animals have mastered change and so can you!

A day in a life: Shores of Climate Resilience (Grades 6 - 12)

Did you know marine animals aren’t all that different from you and me? They have routines, face challenges, and navigate their world day and night. Students step into the daily lives of local marine species to see how they adapt, survive, and thrive in a changing climate. Through interactive storytelling and real-world problem-solving, learners explore ecosystem resilience and discover how humans, too, can take action to protect our shores.

Our students loved learning about sharks and human impact on sharks! The presenter, Andrew, was so knowledgeable and was able to steer the presentation based on student questions and interest. This was a great experience!

Ocean Wise is based in the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xÊ·məθkwÉ™y̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and SÉ™lÌ“ílwÉ™taÊ”/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We work across Turtle Island and beyond, supporting Indigenous peoples in their vital work on ocean conservation and biodiversity whenever possible or as we are invited to.
