A bit about me:
I studied International Relations at UBC and my perspective on climate change is one from the frameworks of policy and JEDDI (justice, equity, decolonization, diversity, inclusion). I currently work in freshwater policy, and I have projects in textile waste reduction and sea level rise adaptation/mitigation. I’m a strong believer of peer learning and I’m always happy to connect on any of the above topics, as well as sand mining, social entrepreneurship, higher ed, and everything else in between!
What gets me out of bed in morning?
My multiple alarms, each set 5 minutes apart. Sometimes accompanied by a sense of doom, and other times by optimism for change. Really depends on the day.
A fun fact about me:
The first time I saw a monkey in the wild, it tried to steal my bag. Every time I saw or heard a monkey after that, I held my bag a little tighter.
