Ocean Wise Ambassador – 2023 Eco-Action Accelerator Cohort

A bit about me:

Hi, I’m Alyssa! I’m an SFU student and non-profit worker originally from Kelowna, but living in Vancouver for the past few years. Recently, I’ve been seeking out ways to engage in community-care and this program seemed like a great way to contribute in a tangible way to protect our oceans, which is essential to the health of our communities. I’m a big reader, I’ve recently taken up painting, and this summer I’d love to learn how to sail.

What gets me out of bed in the morning:

So many things – but a matcha latte helps!

A fun fact about me:

I’m about to be an auntie for the first time, and am beyond excited to meet my niece!

Ocean Wise est basé sur le territoire traditionnel et non cédé des peuples Salish de la côte, y compris les territoires des nations xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) et Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh).
