Ocean Wise Welcomes back Dr. Dalal Al-Abdulrazzak as Vice President of Programs

Ocean Wise is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Dalal Al-Abdulrazzak as our new Vice President of Programs. With a distinguished background in marine science, sustainable fisheries, and ocean policy, Dalal brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and strategic leadership to our mission of protecting and restoring the ocean.

Dalal’s career has spanned continents and disciplines—from her early academic research on global fisheries to her work with the United Nations Development Programme and most recently, her leadership roles at Vericatch as VP of Business Development and Chief Science Officer. Her ability to bridge science, policy, and innovation has made her a respected voice in the global marine conservation community.

Growing up in Kuwait, Dalal developed a deep connection to the ocean that has guided her professional journey. She holds a PhD in Zoology and has published extensively on marine resource management and sustainability. Her work has consistently focused on creating practical, data-driven solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing our oceans today.

Dalal, who was previously Senior Science Specialist at Ocean Wise, is returning to lead our conservation programs, overseeing initiatives that span ocean pollution, climate resilience, sustainable seafood, and whales. Her leadership will be instrumental in scaling our impact and forging new partnerships across sectors and geographies.
