Kylie Frank

Project Lead

I hosted a nature photography workshop to help people in my community connect with nature around them in a creative way.

Project Description

The goal of this workshop is to teach people to care of the land around them and how river ways impact the ocean through photography.

What was your biggest challenge?

Being cancelled on – navigated it by just trying to continue it, finding new people, following up but unfortunately I ran out of time. Joys of living in a small community.

What was your most valuable takeaway?

The benefits of how much people can learn if they get out of the office environment and get them into nature for hands on skills.

Help spread the word

Share this page on social media and help get the word out on ocean conservation

Ocean Wise is based in the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We work across Turtle Island and beyond, supporting Indigenous peoples in their vital work on ocean conservation and biodiversity whenever possible or as we are invited to.
