Chef de projet

This is an art-based science communication project that addresses the impact of light pollution on night migrating birds by installing light blocking window panels.

Description du projet

This project focuses on mitigating the impact of light pollution on birds through creating paper window panels featuring bird silhouette cut outs. Through art, and science communication the project hopes to engage people in understanding more about bird migration, the impact of light pollution, and how to take action. I am collaborating with other young artist to bring this idea to life.
Window panels will be installed in two locations, in Vancouver and Victoria.

Ocean Wise is based in the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We work across Turtle Island and beyond, supporting Indigenous peoples in their vital work on ocean conservation and biodiversity whenever possible or as we are invited to.
