Ocean Wise Ambassador – 2023 Eco-Action Accelerator Cohort

Hello!

I am located in the traditional lands of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and Mississaugas of the Credit (Scarborough, ON).

In 2021, I completed my placement with the Ontario Waterways Unit of Parks Canada to develop proposals for environmental stewardship projects to be implemented along the Trent Severn Waterway and the Rideau Canal. Currently, I’m studying as a Master of Environmental Science student at the University of Toronto Scarborough with a specialization in Terrestrial and Aquatic Systems.  I’m hoping to dive into a career in wildlife conservation where I can focus on protecting Species at Risk!

Ocean Wise est basé sur le territoire traditionnel et non cédé des peuples Salish de la côte, y compris les territoires des nations xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) et Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh). Nous travaillons à travers l'île de la Tortue et au-delà, soutenant les peuples autochtones dans leur travail essentiel de conservation des océans et de la biodiversité chaque fois que cela est possible ou lorsque nous y sommes invités.
