Ocean Wise Ambassador Eco-Action Accelerator Cohort

A bit about me:

I come from a biology background at the University of Ottawa, where I focused on bioinformatics research of polar algal species. Since graduating my focus has shifted to active community building. This has lead me to participate in the Canadian Conservation Corps, and now the Eco Action Accelerator. My project, In Your Nature, intends to make it easier to engage with the environmental community by matching individuals and initiatives who share similar same values, passions, and goals. I also tutor math to elementary students and enjoy an array of hobbies, such as fibre arts, hiking & camping, gardening, programming, and volunteering with other non-profits.

Ocean Wise est basé sur le territoire traditionnel et non cédé des peuples Salish de la côte, y compris les territoires des nations xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) et Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh). Nous travaillons à travers l'île de la Tortue et au-delà, soutenant les peuples autochtones dans leur travail essentiel de conservation des océans et de la biodiversité chaque fois que cela est possible ou lorsque nous y sommes invités.
