Ocean Wise Staff – 2021 Ocean Bridge Cohort

A bit about me:

My name is Hailey Boehner (she/her) and I am an Ocean Bridge National Program Specialist with Ocean Wise, as well as an Ocean Bridge Classic Cohort alumni! I hold a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology from the University of Victoria, and am drawn to projects regarding animal behaviour, food web ecology, human-wildlife contact, predator-prey dynamics, and conservation biology as a whole.

What gets me out of bed in morning?

A good cup of coffee and a nice walk with my dog Balto.

A fun fact about me:

I’m a huge reader, and I love nerding out on science, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and more.

Ocean Wise est basé sur le territoire traditionnel et non cédé des peuples Salish de la côte, y compris les territoires des nations xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) et Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh). Nous travaillons à travers l'île de la Tortue et au-delà, soutenant les peuples autochtones dans leur travail essentiel de conservation des océans et de la biodiversité chaque fois que cela est possible ou lorsque nous y sommes invités.
