Benjamin Philipenko

A Bit About Me:

My name is Benjamin Philipenko, and I am a fifth-year computer engineering student who loves
sports and enjoys challenging myself in my studies. After spending a year in New Zealand,
where I learned to surf and became a certified scuba diver, I came to UVic. Now, I apply my
engineering skills to explore new ways of mapping the ocean floor while enjoying my love for
water activities. Graduating in August, I attribute my success to the support of my family and
friends. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing sports, and spending time with my dog, Ozzy.

What Gets Me Out of Bed in the Morning?

Joking around with friends, watching my favorite sports teams, being active in the sun, spending time with my family, and playing any sport ever.

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia. Also, I prefer my pizza without pineapples.
